About

ABOUT ME

Bonjour, I am a native French speaker from Belgium with a master’s degree in education and over 15 years of experience working in the social field. I have been tutoring French for all ages and levels in London since 2016 and I love doing it.

I started tutoring French while living in the capital city and learning English as a beginner through language exchange conversational meetups. I took a few short classes to improve my grammar, vocabulary, listening and speaking skills, and they were great.

Nevertheless, my language exchanges with English speakers from all over the world have had more impact on improving my English language skills and boosting my confidence when speaking.

Improvement is essential at all levels in a language, and I think only practice can help you to build confidence when it’s time to speak and listen. By speaking more and more, I could understand even better all the grammar I had already started using without knowing it.

Tutoring French allows me to enjoy meeting a rewarding group of French learners.

Because I experienced language learning as an adult, I understand the barriers and wanting to give up on learning a new language. That’s why I like to share my knowledge and my experience of learning a new language and help and encourage others in their language learning journey.

Above all, never give up on your dream.

I am here to help people improve themselves through language learning and become confident no matter their levels, all in a happy and stress-free environment.

I look forward to meeting you and having fun together.

“I have been taking lessons with Carine for about 3 years now and in that time she has helped me achieve a very high level of French speaking. Carine has always kept the lessons very fun and interesting so it has made my learning of the language seem very easy. By having regular lessons and working hard, I am now able to communicate with ease with lots of Francophone people that I meet. Thanks to Carine I am very happy to be able to call myself bi-lingual.”
